Frequently asked questions

On this page, you can find all the answers to questions about our products, slicers, and customer service.

The REMOVABLE sharpener allows for faster cleaning, as there is no fixed sharpener to get in the way.
On the other hand, the fixed sharpener is already mounted on the slicer and ready to use. Furthermore, there is no risk of losing it.

The slicer allows you to easily slice cold cuts, bread, boneless meat, vegetables, fruit, and cheese.

We recommend not slicing frozen products to avoid damaging the blade. We recommend slicing roasts or other cooked meat after it has cooled down.

Cutting meat that is hot and therefore very tender does not allow for optimal cutting. It is preferable to let it cool down.

Each slicer has a knob for adjusting the thickness of the cut. Depending on the type of food to be sliced and the desired result, it should always be adjusted before starting work.

The machine must be cleaned after each use or, if necessary, more frequently (each time the type of product is changed), taking care to thoroughly clean all surfaces that come into contact with the food to be cut.
– Do not use water jets.
– Do not use brushes that could damage the surfaces of the machine.
– Use a soft cloth dampened with normal neutral detergent.

Before cleaning, make sure to: remove the plug from the power outlet and close the blade.
To clean the slicer, use a soft cloth dampened with a normal neutral detergent.
CLEANING THE BLADE: Clean only with alcohol.
CAUTION When cleaning the blade with alcohol, take care not to degrease the cutting edge (outer edge of the blade) excessively, to prevent oxidation. If this occurs, use a cotton ball soaked in cooking oil to re-lubricate the cutting edge. If oxidation is already present, sharpen the blade before lubricating the cutting edge.
NB: Do not clean the machine with water jets, steam, or similar methods, with corrosive detergents, or in the dishwasher. (Do not put the slicer or any of its parts, e.g., the food holder, disc, or sharpener, in the dishwasher.)

If small rust spots have appeared on the blade edge, you can remove them by sharpening.

To prevent this from happening, always dry the blade after cleaning it so that moisture does not promote rust growth. If necessary, soak a cotton ball with cooking oil and lubricate the cutting edge.

The frequency of blade sharpening depends on usage. For normal household use, sharpening the blade once or twice a year may be sufficient. However, if you use the slicer frequently, you may need to sharpen it more often.

Blade sharpening varies depending on the slicer you own. Consult the manual in the BLADE SHARPENING section to perform this operation. The procedure will differ between models with a fixed sharpener and those with a removable sharpener.
Please note: some models with removable sharpeners may not have the sharpener included in the package.

When the operator feels too much resistance when moving the carriage, it is necessary to
– clean the affected area
– Lubricate the bars. We recommend lubricating with synthetic oils (specifically for slicers) and not with vegetable oils, as these are not suitable.
